I am replacing an old $ 600 HP scanner with this and am very pleased with the improvement so far. I use a dual-boot XP 32bit / Vista 64bit configuration with 3.1gig AMD X2 CPU and 4gig ram.So far it works perfectly on Vista 64bit. I have the necessary drivers and software and not the CD. Canon warns that it does not work with a different USB cable, I tried a 6ft Belkin and it worked well. HP will not use anything other than the brief, which they sent to work. The software and front panel buttons work without any problems. I have little problem learning the software without the manual, which is a good indication of how easy it is when you have some experience has been. It scans the negatives have done much better than HP ever. The photo-scans are also much better. I love the software touch-ups so far, but has much more time to take a last look at the Thea scanner is much better than HP. I have a Cannon printer and have no need to call their customer support so far. When I tried to updated drivers for HP scanner to get myself and many others said they would not support Vista. Given the $ 600 + cost of the scanner and the large number of them still in use, I feel that this is the sad state of HP customer support shows. That's why I switched to Canon for both my printer and scanner. I will not buy anything HP ever again. 48 of 52 people found the following review helpful. By macnmaine good first scanner I bought this scanner because I have a lot of 20-25 year old slides that I want to scan to throw away to reduce clutter. It was easy to install and the results are better than I expected. Photos works much better than my HP 4 in 1. It will also scan negatives, but not as good as the slides. It has been difficult to find a scanner that will scan slides and work on a Mac that does both very well. 85 out of 100 people found this review helpful. Good and evil - TBD by T. Johnson, I just bought the CanoScan 5600F. Took it home, followed the installation instructions faster, and it's all connected. First, let me clarify some inaccuracies: 1 The scanner box has a sticker on it that says "do not forget to buy a USB cable because it is not!" But in reality came a USB cable with mine. In fact there is a warning to use only this cable, or can not work. Canon, get your act together! I'm glad it came with a cable, but cable is too short to reach my computer, and if it is true that you can not use a standard USB cable, so what should I do? Canon has no accessories on their website. 2nd I read somewhere that this scanner is powered via USB, but it is not. There is a power cord (not just a cable adapter that is an advantage). Powered by USB would have been nice, but I'm not sure a USB has enough power to do it for a scanner anyyway third It is supposed to be warming to the scanner, but in reality it is a short warm (maybe 50-10 seconds) times before scanning. The same tests are good and fast. I had to do some tinkering with the settings before I could really do any analysis. It seems that there are settings and preferences everywhere, and lots of screens to waste time - I was hoping for something more simple. I was hoping to find a quick and easy way to make copies, scan documents and scan images. I have not been able to get the scanner to function as one of the buttons on the scanner without having to go something, click on the computer. This is a big draw for me, because I really wanted to be able to make copies of a single button press the Scan button (printing on color laser printers). I'm still trying to work and then product support call where the scanner really seems to do a good job at first sight - it's fast e.

I thought, "Surely I am not the only one who has hundreds of photos to scan and can not afford to take weeks to do it!" I watched, read reviews and watch some more. There was no way I was five minutes - or even 2 minutes - per photo, preview, scan, crop, adjust. All I wanted was decent, quickly scanning old pictures, good enough for posting on Facebook to get. This little gem was perfect for what I needed. PROS: This model will handle up to 8.5 by 11 inch photos. There is an adjustable guide that will help you take pictures in the slot, but I discovered that I really do not even need to use it as long as I have the photo on the left edge of the search path. Scans are very fast. In the default setting, take a 4x6 photo ca. 20 seconds to scan and store. Everything is automatic, you put a picture in the slot. The scanner, it feeds through - and fast! When the light stops flashing, you run another scan. I sat there watching the TV, the power at one time after another through the unit without a hitch. One of the best features is that there is no need to be connected to a computer. If you are not connected via USB cable, the images are automatically saved to the SD card. (The unit comes with a 1 GB card, which contain hundreds of photos Tip: ... After you install the scanning software on the SD card during installation, you can remove the scanning software on the SD card free lot space for the images more just make sure you save a copy from somewhere, because I could not find a way to download from the manufacturer.) You can take this device to your family reunion, sat at a table with their parents, scanning and photo after photo. When you get home, you can transfer photos to your computer, or simply remove the SD card in digital photo frame (I have scanned about 350 pictures and got them uploaded and sent to a Facebook photo album for about 3 hours.) Of course, if you prefer to connect and scan directly to your computer via USB cable (included), which is easy to do as well. Disadvantages: You have very little control over scan settings. We choose 300 dpi (dots per inch) or 600 dpi. (300 dpi is fine for posting photos online.) You have no control over how files are named when images are stored on SD card or computer. (They are only numbered in sequence.) Will have to use a software program if you need to manipulate the images after scanning (crop, adjust color and brightness, etc.) The software that comes with the scanner has no editing functions. I recommend IrfanView, a great freeware photo editing [...] ] Would have been nice if the unit can be battery operated so it was not even necessary to use the power cord (included)! Perhaps the model that comes ... Conclusion: If you need quality museum for posterity or Super high-resolution scans of scans to enlarge, you get a good flatbed scanner and software for editing digital photos. He has a lot of money, time and effort to take good pictures. But if you just need quick scans, decent quality images for sharing via email or online publishing, this may be exactly what you are looking for. NOTE: After doing now approx. 500 readings, I had no problem with the lines through the image that some said. I use the small cleaning swab (included) every 50 sweeps, as suggested by the manufacturer. 169 of 170 people found this review helpful. A very good, super to archive your precious family moments by Aurelio T. McKewon The first thing I noticed about the scanner PANSCN06 was its small size. The scanner is about the size of the cardboard tube used for a roll of paper towels The device is incredibly powerful and versatile given the small size. We also.

Bought this product and had it shipped to the in-laws house, so I could scan and my wife's old family photos to convert to digital media. We arrived at the home jurisdiction for the holidays. The package arrived in great shape and on time. We were all very happy to precious family photos into digital JPEG images, so they can be used, stored and protected. I read the instructions completely and began to scan images. It was a very simple process and the initial quality seemed good, but .... 500 photos, and much of my time away from family, later I notice an irregularity in the scanned JPEG. I have assessed all the photos and I started an artifact, the same image on all images. The artifact appeared, especially in dark or photographs printed on glossy, but can be seen in all of them, some less than others shows that the image on the JPEGs is a reflection of the opening, in the case of the scanner. I lifted the cover, the photographs have been entered and saw the hole in the interior is the exact shape of the artifact in the jpegs. The problem is that the scanner in the "box" is all white and the light reflects off the screen and into the hole where the image is taken at the photo and then back to the imager, which then leads to the artifact in photographs. I am very disappointed with the images and the fact that I was not aware until I had completed so many photos, I'll have to do with another product. I'm not timid or money to waste my time on the product, especially if you are looking for quality. 174 of 176 people found the following review helpful. Scan slides and Old Photos By W. Glover, I have thousands of slides and photos from the year 1950 Unfortunately, I rarely use my Nikon cameras, five more. I hid all my slides and photos in boxes in the 1950s. This small, easy to use digital converter is a great way to see these old photos again. It takes 33mm slides and negatives and photos 3x5, 4x6 and 5x7. He does an excellent job of converting the photos into digital images. He has four slides at once less than two seconds, the images stored on an SD card and quickly download to your computer. It saves the images to 10 megapixels. I am very pleased with the process and technical support offered by the company Wolverine to get started. It is almost impossible, slide projectors and viewers through the scanning of slides and transparencies, which you can easily see how they can find on your computer or TV screen. 61 of 61 customers found this review helpful. Great product on bregz was a bit skeptical about ordering this product after reading very mixed reviews, thousands of slides, I thought that if it was so bad that I could return. This product has done everything above. I love, is truly amazing. I've done over 1000 images and photos with a few hundred more to come. If you follow the instructions and correct statement of the results as they should. I recommend this product. See all 69 reviews ....

I say former because I have it for probably a decade and it worked really well. Since I do not need to scan every day, I wanted to find a scanner at a reasonable price. I came to the V330 and after reading the reviews I thought to try it. The negative thing that sold me was the additional possibility, and slides, old film scan ... more on that later. I found that works really well with my Mac and image capture, the application utility that comes with all Macs. In this way I handled the software supplied with the Epson scanner. With the inclusion of pictures, I can adjust the resolution and select any field I choose to scan. It works perfectly! But be sure to order the Epson site and download the "fix-it" update for Image Capture. Well, for scanning old slides and negatives of the film. WOW! It works with slides (I have no negatives by scanning them), I have the Epson Scan software for this major. It will scan four slides at once. Some other critics have complained about the decision are not so good. Obviously they did not find that the decision can be set! Epson offers three modes with their software: Home, Business and Pro. When scanning slides, I set the home page. Here are my settings: Document Type: Positive Film (films are not generally negative image) Image Type: Color: Destination: others (you can set the resolution) Resolution: 400 dpi scan (more takes too long, the entire picture looks less blurred) Target size: 4x6 DO NOT use color restoration. Images can be adjusted very easily in other programs. I have scanned hundreds of images. When you do something, you get into a groove. Disadvantage: Scanning the four images with the above process takes about 6 minutes. Find a good book to read while waiting and if you have hundreds of slides, prepared to spend their nights scanning:) UPSIDE: Totally worth the money I recommend the Epson V330 scanner! 18 of 19 people found the following review helpful. A very good scanner by Don Tucson I was looking for a scanner to a lot of 35mm slides that I had collected over the years. As process had too many negatives and photos to do, so when I bought this Epson Amazon's. I was very pleased with the results! The Perfection V330 Photo scanner is easy to configure and use, and the results were very good, considering the slides were 30 years old.The + and negative images can also be run on very nicely. I definitely recommend this multi-purpose scanner V3300 for everyone. 15 of 16 people found the following review helpful. Scanner for the price by Music Fan from St. Louis I ordered this scanner on a recommendation in a recent issue of Popular Photography. I've had in almost a month and have used it mainly for scanning 35 mm slides (up to a couple of years ago when I bought a digital camera that is my biggest film has been shooting slide film), I scanned some old B & W and color photographic prints, and vary in size from 2x3 inches to 8x10 inches. The scanner is turned on quickly and accurately scans. I would like the solution of the slide was better (sharper), but the resolution of the printed photos is excellent. The scanner includes software for editing and setting, but I have not used it as I have Corel (formerly JASC) Paint Shop Pro ("Adobe Photoshop poor"). The scanner produces images as jpg files and uses a combination of Epson's color space, but my Paint Shop Pro has no problem reading and converting it to a non-proprietary color scheme of the room. All in all I am very happy with this product and recommend it to anyone looking for a reasonable price scanners condition. See all 44 customer reviews ....

Luke recently found with several thousand 35 mm slides and the family has promised my brothers, scanning slides and create a digital collection for each of them. Received the scanner and after a while 'reading, slides and the scanner had to work fast enough. I have already acquired on an HP Scanjet 5470 and the process was slow and not the best copy quality. I think the slides I have scanned with the scanner of Wolverine, they are all coming from the dark side and require work to optimize the contrast, slides, etc. are in progress in winter are a lot of washing, as if the light source in the scanner is not uniform over the entire surface. Any type of work with the software has so far been acquired images at an acceptable image. If I had to do it again, I would invest in a scanner better. 326 of 332 people found this review helpful for me to do well when you can bad pictures themselves. By bblhed First I must say that the reason why I bought this scanner so that I can scan film shot on an odd-sized, 35 mm slim frame camera, so I just need a scanner that can scan negatives that I could get my mail work later on I needed. This scanner does so with brutal honesty that I needed, so I can post my error also note and learn from them. If you have a crappy picture with your camera, this thing is a nonsense scan. When the scan is dark or light your camera's fault not the work of the scanner. I ran a roll of the most overexposed images by scanning and properly exposed pictures looked good, overexposed images, not so much. A stake magic with Gimp (free album software, very convenient) and I have a great set of photos and know what I did wrong. I had to scan for an hour and place local processes on the same role for me and the pictures they did was beautiful, they confessed their "enhanced" them, the scanner will show you what you actually shot, so you can correct the next time . Just as it is easy to use? Since the time I put my knife into the band on the packaging for the time I scanned my first part as reading instructions to nearly three pages was about 6 minuets. It took about 20 minutes to scan a whole film uncut and put it on my computer. The device displays a live view of what you are about as simple as scanning, position your film, it centers on the carrier and down, you need to do from left to right. I have not read the instructions on three sides, and look good with a little adjustment to some of my photos, the next time I'll explain a little better and maybe get rid of a lot of work to post TAT was a time that taught me the value of a light meter. Some things to consider. What is not in the box. There is an SD card, and without cable, but for $ 109, which connects to the SD card and built in screen is good enough for the exploration work unit is compact, with less than 4 VHS tapes . The film holder does a good job keeping the movie. I do not use the slide holder, so I do not know. As you say, it is not necessary to connect this to a computer so if you have the power that can scan anywhere you want, like a table with space to put things and not on a desktop computer with little or no space . In general, unless I die soon I'm very happy with it. 138 of 140 people found this review helpful. Good for the price Sparkey received this today and within 20 min. was scanning slides. After SD scan 10 slides, took the card to the printer. The impressions were very good. Since 2000 I have not to exploit the slides + want to use Epson plan to do this - it takes too long to scan slides. Some slides back to my grandmother taking pictures in 1948. If the slide is on the dark side will come out a little 'darker than the original, but it's still good for the person I highly recommend this armor.

The best part is that it actually fits in my Targus computer case with my laptop. It weighs only 2-3 PDS, and drive USB power --- no converter brick to lug around. Scans are very sharp and fast. The automatic settings work very well for almost all typical originals (old photos, letters, invoices, etc.). Despite some shortcomings, for the price and portability of this extraordinary series of scanners for scanning the choice to make, because books --- books to be scanned is often borrowed from libraries or archives. DEFECTS Unfortunately, the special design of the scanner (and all other LED-based scanner), which (unlike most fat desktop scanners) can not scan 3D objects. Every part of your document or image is not in absolute contact with the glass Patten very blurry. The increased border increases the edges of an original that does not fit on the glass Patten, making the edges of the scans blurred, this is especially a problem when scanning books. Also you can just press harder --- that warps the glass causing blurriness elsewhere on the page, and may also become lodged in the scanning mechanism. However, these problems can be solved using the strategies discussed below. The cover is not removable, which means your out-of-turn if you need to become part of a large object to scan. The program is diverse, confusing and difficult to configure optimally. Warning, I have at least three brands of scanning software, none of which are well designed. Of alien named "MP Navigator" I suggest to check "Use the scanner driver" to access the "Advanced Settings" - or better yet, scan your images (image editing) software. But even if the document is a problem, is smaller (1 / 16 ") and narrow (3 / 8") than most other scanners, etc, etc are scanning books is a minor problem with most scanners. Selection of hardware models and "Advanced Settings" part of the exploration program LiDE all models (at least in models from 90 to 210) appear to be identical. The main differences between models are: 1) improvements in auto-scan, and 2) the rated speed of exploration (which is apparently controlled by software). Despite the statistics above, there is little practical difference between the models of the scanning speed. The "slow down" models are quieter, and I suspect it is more reliable. Since I only use the "Advanced Settings" (never automatic configuration), is 110 my preference, no matter the price. Canon CanoScan LiDE110 Color Scanner (4507B002) The 210 is better for children and others who will never learn to use the "Advanced Settings" option, because it claims to have automated scan of the top 210 can be a little faster when scanning small originals and / or low resolution. Canon CanoScan LiDE210 Color Scanner (4508B002) If you want to scan books and if you do not want the scanner around too much, you might consider a Canon LiDE 700. It has two major advantages. The right bank is in effect, the glass surface (hurrah! !)--- although there are still large margin. The lid opens 180 degrees so you can scan parts of a large object - although there is a "border problem" for the other three corners. Canon CanoScan LiDE 700F Color Image Scanner (3297B002) scan books is easy to scan books that are at least ½ "margin between the impression and the spine. Insert the right side of the scanner to the edge of a table so the book is open to 90 degrees when the scanner instead of a moderate weight on the original (like a 1 "thick book) placed. If you press with your fingers, press the edges of the glass surface (or better yet, in the corners), not the middle. When you enter is not quite

As I supposed, is identical to V300 except that no negative holder in the box. The driver CD-ROM and documentation lists both models. I use it with Photoshop and Indesign staff to study portrait drawing, art book and the use of photographs the practice of magazines for source material. I held my breath to see if the type of TIFF file is included with this release, and (in the professional scanning mode.) Fabulously smooth images made from common color newspaper insert ads containing only 800 dpi. You can choose from different types of destination image, including up to 48-bit color and up to 12,800 dpi (in a professional manner). TIFF files are very large, but I'm planning to dump them once I cropped the images to print. (After I sign, I no longer need the images.) ) Of course, it also jpeg format (default) and a wide range of custom formatting before saving and ultra-simple "point and shoot" is also adapted presets for scanning function at home (e-mail scanning, etc. ) and the office mode (settings of RGB values, for example). I have not tried yet, but it makes PDF files in automatic mode all but complete, without having to purchase Adobe Acrobat, unbelievable. (I have a Fujitsu document scanner that prints to PDF, but very expensive.) There is the same type of user selection of movies as a document type as the V300, so do not see why you can not scan slides and negatives, using a homemade support or just guessing where to put film in the middle range of the scanner. I'm not going to scan film, pictures or I got the V300, but was not available for the main expedition. I have some Velvia slide at the end I decided to try to scan and see what happens. It lets you know how it goes when I get a chance. Superb scanner, great price, and back without a doubt the reliability of my previous experience with Epson inkjet color to Windows 31 only beat never stopped working well. I base my purchase on all the praise for the V300/V200, and the assumption that it is the scanning engine and the same software that can be used as the only difference I say that he is missing the owner of the film used. If anything, the V30 is newer and probably has better specs than the V300. If you do not need a film holder, or if you just need to update your flatbed scanner is not complete evidence. I forgot to mention, the top speed and lifts / flips back from the road. 81 of 84 customers found this review helpful. Easy to use and does a good job of scanning photos and documents in the book and dog lover V30 The Epson does a good job of combining an easy to use scanner for those who want change - just a study, please! - With a scanner that the bells and whistles for those who want to do more to use the scanner to scan photos and documents (such as JPEG and PDF). I do not use the mail function (because it uses Outlook and I do not use the package of e-mail on my home computer). Photo Scanning with the Epson I tried a variety of photos. Pictures consisted of several photos of Bryce Canyon in Winter (snow and color contrast), your basic picture of the Grand Canyon, a couple of photos of ordinary people (a couple of people standing in a dark room and pictures, which was more evenly distributed light). There were also some pictures that had stains on them (black marks in the sky) to test the ability to remove dust and an old yellow photo (40 + years) for a couple to test the color restoration included Epson mode by default is the fully automatic mode. If you have any problems with the pictures, do not want to see, no need to change the size and what you want to scan, use this option. As in all other modes, there is no heat required - to quickly scan photos and Epson do a good job ..

Crews Giles RATING Epson V300 Photo I can only give five stars if I compare with my using a different scanner - but I strongly suspect such a comparison would not change my opinion about it. I am very happy, and it exceeds all my expectations. So, four stars, and probably five. USE I had a scanner for two purposes: My main task is the preservation of the long out of print rare, and often the narrative and theological texts, making them available to other scientists and researchers - had to a table. The second was to preserve and share old photos. Twenty-four hours ago, I bought this unit has led to this choice for the reviews, and finally decide based on LED-scanning technology, portability, price and bundled software. It cost me more than $ 20 (100 total) for the V300, which I think is the same as the V300 except V30 is the insertion of 35 mm film and slides into the frame, which I think could be useful to me how I don 'know why I use the terminology in the manner of use. Must be: Photo, Text mode, automatic mode and a professional attitude. Instead, the image is called "Home" text is called "Office" and Professional car is what you might think. The menus are intuitive else, but you can (as I did) to read the manual if you want. PHOTO I started with photos. Resolution of 300 dpi is sufficient for all my needs, but I tried 1200 to see what he would do. Using the 1200 is 400% original, and with this approach, and zoom in using common software images that were the details beyond my expectations - almost like a detective movie magnifying glass to see the reflection of the topic a photographer. Almost. This is well beyond my needs as I keep the photos as they are - no photoshopping to improve more ... RESTORATION I could not resist trying System Restore. I started with the default setting of 300 dpi, which I will use all the way from here - simply because it is more than enough for my purposes. I have a family photo in 1890 in black and white, and I had to see the original light to bring out all the details, so it was faded. A few seconds later, the preview image in the 'Home' "(see above), leaving the default value for" color photos "perfect balance showed a contrast, my eyes out unable to detect details in the original . Excellent. I then took a 1941 portrait in color mode settings and left the "Home" 300 dpi, and "color restoration" checked. The original color was distorted, almost red remaining. One push of the button and the 'image is broken into what I believe to be the original colors. excellent. The ultimate test image was a picture of me where the flash had made my skin look pasty white, while I was quite tanned using professional mode and play with the controls on the removal of a small red, elimination of green in an intuitive graphical display for this purpose; and play with other controls in a few seconds, which gives a very good final product. The text scanning entire books in PDF files is my main use. But I have tried more than that. OLD CUT NEWSPAPWER My first test was actually a newspaper clipping of ninety years old. The use of "Office" mode, I did nothing but watch and then analyze. The program did her thing and maybe a minute later, he opened the PDF with Acrobat (the free version) and the image was an exact copy. I used the text selection tool in Acrobat to highlight the article and then paste into MS Word. Provided OCR software (ABBYY FineReader Sprint Plus) had done a fair job for a free product and packaging ink mottle original file (like all the headlines in the days of the hose) was terrible as it was perfectly readable pdf. The ability to search listing to find words and phrases that are easily seen in the version that I copied the pdf y.

With GK Mizuno seems like there a motor in the (given the cost and the box indicates that there is an operation in two steps) should have, but it does not work. You have to physically move through each image and press the button twice on the same (once scanned a second time to save in order) - it is an operation in 3 steps for each image, not a two-step. It does not scan, but slips photos / movies that are backlit (caution, because the box says, "transducer" no "scanner"), making it fast enough to capture images, but at a price: the quality. The quality is mediocre at best, and magazine and winds, even when it is inserted, so that your films can often be easily rotated each time. Another disadvantage is that you turn off the scanner to separate the scanner from the computer, or to the main screen after using the scanner back. If the images need color correction, you must do one at a time that is not a big problem if you have a computer and Photoshop, but if the purpose of the machine to avoid the computer, it's not as comfortable Flatbed scanners out there, designed for scanning slides and films with extremely high resolution. It would take much longer, but the quality is very best. This product appears to specifically target people who want to make very small (4x6) or prints to display on a TV screen, and that's all. If you thought that this might be a good way to scan slides, Ektachrome for posterity, looking at the wrong product. 103 of 108 people found this review helpful. We have a winner! For CBStanfield After reading some reviews I'm afraid of other devices that I decided on this model. My needs would be easy to use and could not function without a connected computer. It is also necessary that the images are large enough to work with editors. All the criteria I was looking for has been addressed in this unit Capito at 14:00 and 17:00 was set up, played with it until it was comfortable and had treated more than 200 slides. It 'easy enough for Forest Gump. I have a basic Windows 7 64-bit computer and used a $ 6 Kingston 4GB SDHC. All orders for entry level. The unit enabled me to make some basic settings for the rotation of light and dark e. Once I had as I wanted, I just press the copy button. In a second or two, I had the icon to confirm that I wanted to preserve the image on the memory card. Another click or two, and a second image is stored. I am not a geek, but it's so easy for me embarrassed to be so worried. Good product, easy to use, of appropriate quality. I recommend it to my family or anyone else. Now I can start my 3000 slide and my father in-law of the 1500 slide. Not a problem - I have the right piece of equipment to go in no time. Sad to say, the only problem was my camera to work so bad back then too, this machine could not do much with this. 52 out of 53 people found this review helpful. Very pleased with R. O'Neill My parents have thousands of 35 mm slides. They are not sitting well in boxes. I bought a different brand several years ago but did a bad job, and I returned to the store. Since then I have searched reviews and information to guide me to a good choice. It seemed that Wolverine had more character stars. But there were some comments that bothered me on other models. This scanner had a single test that was positive, so I decided to try. Well, for me it was the right choice. Within minutes I was scanning slides. I worked with him most of the afternoon, and I am satisfied with the outcome. I am not a professional image, but I think it does a great job! It is very fast. I ordered the video-out cable so you can display images on a TV. Also ordered a 3-pack trays slide The only thing that slows down the scanning process is loaded.

By steve614 I bought the converter to use color graphics scanner because my computer takes 2-3 minutes for each image, and with about 6000 images that are just too much time. I am running Windows XP and when I drive I accidentally set up for 64-bit version of Windows, if my computer is actually running 32-bit received. I discovered that it will not work at all if you do wrong. When I corrected it, everything worked fine. I have problems with the photo tray. You must open and close - there are three clips (one in the middle and one at each end). If not all snap close picture compartment sticking. Also be careful not to one of the hinge spring to the back of the photo compartment - which also will stick. In other words, the drawer plastic, so do not treat it like it was made of metal. Accidentally sprung hinge the tray back and stuck the device with my slides when I called innovative technologies and has their full cooperation. They were great! 120 of 121 people found this review helpful. Product is OK, but I hope they do not need support! By Cheryl A. Cayemberg who bought this product back in MAY2009 and was eager to start converting my negatives to digital. I did some problems. It would freeze and I would have to shut down for a while. Sometimes they freeze after a negative, sometimes after a score, but over time it freezes. I must say that my computer is running Windows Vista (which is garbage), but the software is supposed to be compatible with Windows Vista. I even uninstalled and reinstalled the software but the problem persists. I contacted twice Technological Innovation (wait 2 months between e-mail) and whenever I have the automatic response telling me how important my business is theirs and we will reply shortly. They never do, and I can check my junk mail before emptying and not going there! OK, now that I told you the bad news about this product, how about something good? I read the complaints we say it takes a long time to convert each image, and I agree It does not take longer than if I was something of a scanner to scan ordinary homes. You must ensure that the picture is quite "developed" before confirming the picture (you'll notice that the scan of each image the color slowly changes colors when the arrest ... darker / relief it is time to save the image and go on). Now do not hold up very well in negative time and begin to lose their color. What you need is a photo editing software to retouch pictures later, but if you ask me it's almost expected. The pegs that hold negatives are just some negative aspects, but I just adjust accordingly. You can still close the adverse holder without it in piles. The instruction manual is not very useful, but I always suggest you read through it and allow you to install the first scan is very low so it does not take long! Bottom line is that it is definitely worth the price. I already have my money from him, even with the frustrations I encountered. 26 of 26 people found this review helpful. great works of W. Speed, quality, and the user interface: I am going to divide my review into three categories. ____ SPEED: I could not move anything to scan with the V750 because the wait time with each scanner is simply atrocious. It looks like they grab each time has its engine. On the other hand, are speed and agility of the 9000F impressive. I have several pictures at once on the glass scanner and the software allows you to independently select the settings for each image, mix resolutions and fixes. Then he goes and scans separately. And because LED light requires no warm up time, it works immediately, it can be done just as much! I scanned over 150 pictures in the early days of this scanner - had more than I did in two years, I have the Epson. But remember that when you scan film and slides, the scanning speed will be drastically reduced - it's just the way it is, regardless of the scanner QUALITY _____: The V750 is a professional quality scanner (which almost $ 800 price) seems a little better, with dust and scratch removal with Digital ICE. The 9000F uses DO, which works well but does not seem to be equally effective. Scans at 9000F tend to be slightly bluer, but you can easily change the correction. ______ Interface: The interface is a little clugey '(that's how you spell it?), But does everything I need, and while you're scanning a large number of photos you store them in a catalog until you are finished, then save files in a single pass. The software does not seem to keep some settings (I have to clear a check box to create subfolders based on date of scan), but overall it works very well. _____ CONCLUSION: If I had a part of having the best scanner (V750) choose and never used, and on the other hand, a large scanner (9000F) and use it like crazy, I would definitely do recommend Option BI 9000F for its beautiful design, easy installation, excellent quality scanning, Easy Photo Settings correction, the ability to simultaneously scan multiple images, and impressive speed! 243 of 250 people found the following review helpful. Probably the best overall "A4" size flatbed scanner in the $ 700 LG Charlot I bought this scanner primarily to digitally archive my 35mm film and slide collection. The scanner I used a 9-year old Microtek 4900 flatbed, was hardly up to the task, with a maximum resolution of 2400 dpi, and it had no built-in color correction for the orange mask of color negatives to remove, let alone automatic dust / scratch. And in 2400, it was much too slow, taking nearly one hour to a 6-frame film strip scanning. How is it to compare the Canon 9000F? A "market price" of $ 235 Amazom.com was almost $ 500 less than the Semi-Pro 700 Epson flatbed scanners. The 9000F can scan only two strips of 35 mm film in one operation, while the Epson can scan 4th 9000F scans of four mounted 35mm slides at a time, Epson Scan-8. But for most amateur photographers, the $ 700 price tag is pretty steep for Epson, and if you have thousands of slides or film strips to be scanned, not a higher capacity of Epson worth the extra cost. The sampling rate of 9000F at least four times faster than my old Microtek at all resolutions between 300 and 2400th At higher resolutions, the 9000F slowed noticeably - a single 35-mm film frame with 9600 dpi took about 20 minutes, activated with FARE. During the scan, the drive motor in the 9000F completely smooth, relatively quiet and my impression of fairly good quality. Other beneficial uses of the scanner, I sound like a cement mixer. 2nd The image quality I tested negative 9000F color film from 35 mm to 2400 dpi, 3200 dpi and 9600 dpi. The quality of the scans are all three.

For an effective Luv2BinCali economic tried to save 1,000 of the negative that my family has accumulated since the 1960s. Since the SmartFix Veho VFS-008 just two weeks ago, I literally scanned more than 2,000 negatives. Some of the negative was just bad to begin with, but I can clean it with Microsoft Office Picture Manager, Paint Shop, Corel and Paint Shop. The results are spectacular and I am scouring for more negatives to scan. I scan 35 mm negatives and slides and 110. I was even able to scan other negatives with the odd size of 35 mm tray just a little tweaking, I was impressed with the packaging and ease of use. I recommend anyone who has a lot of negatives or slides to scan and memories to unravel. I changed the SD card is included to increase the 2GB. See all 5 reviews ....

The best feedback from customers on September 9 people found the following review helpful. Scans too dark to Preston Davis seemed that this would be the perfect item. It was small, easy to handle and operate, and all I had to do was connect to a USB port and were ready to go. However, he had a real problem with the quality of images. All slides had to be too bright or too dark to scan would be correct. Trying to fix, even programs with high quality graphics such as Photoshop, resulted in significant image pixelation or washing. The company, AEI was great about it. I sent an email with the analysis of samples, hoping there was a solution available. Unfortunately, no. That allowed me to return to a full refund. I think it works well on some machines and not only compatible with my system. Would definitely have worked for me, and everything else was perfect. I decided to send my slides to a scanning service to put on CD / DVD. 5 of 5 people found the following review help by Mary E Beagle would not recommend the scanner I have such a high contrast (my words) I could not even properly in Photoshop. I have a couple of scanners for slides and negatives, and is by far the easiest to use. The included software is very good. Although the device requires a driver that does not require this software. As you pull the negative in you see a live view, then, once the image is centered, click the scan button. The sweep is almost instantaneous, and the quality is quite acceptable. He does an excellent job of automatically adjusting the brightness and scans seem to be developed. The included software allows easy adjustment of color balance. It is the only scanner I know of to go negative 110th The quality is rather poor 110, but it's not really the fault of the scanner, as indicated by the good quality scans of 35mm. It's just not much in this case, with 110 jobs. Still, it's better than nothing, and I was surprised to find that the negatives had kept their color quite well for 35 years compared to prints of the same faded completely. This scanner is definitely worth the price. 15 of 16 people found this review helpful. High quality - scans and hardware by Stephen Gibson also bought this to scan slides - However, while the slides are the standard slide size in terms of its holder, slide the film itself is square instead of rectangular and modern slides ( mine is about 1.44 "x 1.44"). For some reason, the default size of the cut 8800F used when you select slides of 35 mm is not easy to change. I wrote the company and has a new pattern of response that basically said "we are not changing the software to make you happy." I think I got it, but ... any Fortunately, I found the answer quite by accident. It turns out that in order to make the scan of my situation (and maybe yours), simply had to turn off the "on / off the thumbnail view mode" and allowed me to manually create the cultivation of appropriate size. It also means that I have the 35 mm holder instead of the 35-mm slide holder and leave the old photos in their magazine metal bracket, saves me more time then pick it out, I'm happy to say this scanner exceeds my expectations and makes me a happy camper now that I no longer can I use my Konica Dimage Scan Dual IV with my Vista computer. The hardware is very sturdy and the speed is great. 1200 DPI scan takes less than one minute each. EXTRA! By T. Meerloo the Box: The entire machine is much smaller and lighter than my previous scanner, with the same size scan area. It comes with a USB connection and a separate power "brick" from the wall outlet and the scanner. Three guides are included scanning, a combo of 2 side-by-side strips of 35 mm film (5 frames each), with closure strips that flatten curves, a guide for 4 slides of standard size 120 mm and a die This filmstrip guides fit into a specific location on the glass, so they line up under the lid-mounted light source that is covered with a removable shield. The cover is bright enough, but it is necessary to open up almost no support for it to remain open. The thin film strip on the guide stops 35 mm is very fragile, and I have a shot when trying to load curves of strips of negatives. Software with the scanner driver, etc., an advanced image editing program, and versions of Adobe Photoshop Elements (5.0 for Windows, 4.0 for Mac) are included. SOFTWARE: I have not tried all the included software yet, as I prefer to work in other applications to store and retouch images. In other words, was one of the training programs of the scanner (MP Navigator), I think there are some unnecessary steps and windows between the scan and backup job from a Mac, installing easy scanning with the scanner interface is very intuitive. Everything works quite smoothly, but there are occasional accidents software, and I can not queue a lot of images before the buffer of the program is completed (even with a surplus of RAM). Automatic recognition of images in pictures of slides or negative strips is very accurate, but it can be turned off, as another reviewer noted, and you can select your own area of interest or the entire filmstrip. STATISTICS:. "BLC" There are many ways to make as Unsharp Mask before scanning and to remove dirt and scratches, which has different levels to choose from, as well as "correction of the crop" and While I generally see a positive effect of the Unsharp Mask (again, I work with a high dpi), I think the turning of the dirt and scratches on it just a mess of the affected areas, eliminating some places or specifications intact I tend to transform options for removing dirt and scratches and correcting the grain completely. I use the scanner, the scanning software.
